Creative Challenge #16 Layouts!

Good Morning! I hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend. Just yesterday I started decorating for Christmas and can't wait to get my Christmas tree. We usually get it this weekend but since it's not December yet I have to wait until next week :(. This week for the challenge we have decided to feature Anke layout. I just love the colours and her design. Thanks to Anke and Linda for finishing the challenge. I know it's a busy time of the year. So with that I wanted to announce that we are going to put the Creative Challenge and the Copy Cat Wednesday on hold until February. Don't worry we have other things to inspire you for the month of December & January. Just a little hint. It's Called 12 Days of Christmas Challenge and check back tomorrow for the First day of Christmas. - Tara

Creative Challenge #16

Good Morning, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. This weekend I started my Christmas shopping and I must say I was happy with my first shopping outing. I actually ended up finishing a few people on my list and started a couple others. If I can keep the pace up, It should only take me another two trips to be done all my shopping. That excites me, since I hate the crowed malls at Christmas time. How is everyone else doing on there Christmas shopping? Also this weekend I went to see Twilight! Did anyone else go and see it? I loved it and I look forward to the next movie. If you haven't already read the books from Stephanie Meyer, it's a must. There is nothing better than forbidden love between a vampire and a mortal. Sorry about the late post for this - I have been working frantically to wrap up my sister book. I thought I would just do 1 more page, but when I was sorting through the photos I found more that just had to be scrapped. My Creative Challenge #15 Layout

I loved these sweet photos of my hubby & Spencer on Father's Day this past year - but they were dark, poor composition & kinda grainy. So I did a lot of playing around with them in Lightroom & cropped them using Kellie's fantastic template. I had been passing over these photos for months & feel so relieved that they are finally scrapped. Sometimes as scrappers we pass over the scrapping of special memories for the sake of using the good photos first. - Kayleigh

Creative Challenge #15

Thank you everyone for your kind words of congratulations to me & my family. We are so excited to meet this little person in May! With the thought of the hundreds of new baby photos that will be on the way - I am thinking about all the photos I have YET to scrap... so this is how I came up with this weeks challenge. (Maybe it's early signs of nesting?!)

The challenge is to dig up some photos that you have brushed off because they are not 'perfect' but the memory they capture is important. Use these ideas below to get your mojo going with those photos you keep passing over!

• Creatively crop the photos
• Modify the photos in lightroom
• Reduce the size
• Embrace the flaws
• Change the photo to black & white
• Use the white space to add journaling
• Apply a filter to distract from the imperfections

I awoke this morning at 7:30 when Spencer woke up, I thought wow I got to sleep in a bit. Then I realized that it was actually 6:30am because of the time change. Geeessh! Spencer during the week seems to sleep until 8 or even 8:30, so I don't even see him 'cause I'm outta here long before that. oh well.
