Creative Challenge #20

Ok this is going to be a fun challenge this week! Lots of us are dealing with the never ending winter blahs so what better way than to add some sunshine into our lives than with our scrapbook pages! ... And this will be an easy challenge to spot in the gallery when someone completes a page.

THE CHALLENGE:
• Create a monochromatic page using the colour yellow.
• Use a black & white or sephia photo
• Background paper must be white or black

After doing a little research online for the meaning of yellow here is what I found:
"Yellow is vibrant and friendly. The color of sunshine, yellow represents happiness, joy, good humor, intellect and energy. Yellow evokes feelings of warmth and cheerfulness."

I also came across this photo series from snippet & ink that totally inspires me, perhaps it's the cupcakes with the letter k on them! (yummm!)

Copy Cat Wednesday #16

I have been busy putting together a HUGE shutterfly book of my pages of Spencer ... I think I am at about 82 pages right now! Hard to believe I have that many that needed to be printed. I say HUGE as well because I am doing the book in 12x12! I printed a few pages in 12x12 for a contest & loved the texture in the larger size. I am a bit worried that I might think its too huge ... but I will let you know what I think in the next couple weeks of it.

Anyways I fell in love with this awesome composition of this page by Erin aka nirecreations that she posted the other day.


Here is my page of my sister & her friend while they were enjoying the warmth of Dominican back in December. (Lucky her!)

Good Morning! It's a GREAT morning in the Leake residence as we are HAPPY we saw the Steelers win their 6th Super Bowl title. The first NFL Team to win 6 Super Bowls. They are saying that it could be the best Super Bowl game ever. The game definitely was an emotional roller coaster.
