Can you believe tomorrow is OCTOBER?! Tonight it is actually cool here (and by cool I mean mid 70's), I am just about ready to move up to Canada with Kayleigh and Tara to get away from the hot humid weather :) Fall is welcome ANYTIME :)

Gallery Inspiration!
This week I am posting pages that all share a trend. Pockets. They are so cool to fill. Here are some examples I have found to inspire you! Katie has some great pockets available in the store called Negative Sleeves. And Ali has a fun template that incorporated the sleeves right into it. The template is called Remember This 2 Page Layered Template. I recently did a page with this template & shrunk it, then moved it onto a single page.
I just love this one by Jen D of her little girl in her tutu. I really like how she incorporated the pocket into her photo group & then she added the date, some elements & a word strip. Cute eh?
On this page Amikasmom created a whole page around the negative sleeve & filled it with a photo plus elements. Such a fun family photo too!
How about turning the sleeve on it's side & filling it that way? I just love how Applechick (Fiona) thought outside the box here. Plus all her other inspiring ideas here, aren't those flourishes the coolest?!
Now this page by hguenthe is very creative! She actually created a raincoat on the page then filled the coat pocket with her journaling! Such an original work of art.
These pockets are filled to the max & I love it!! I adore how each item represents her little girls favourite things. I also like how she placed the photo in a frame overtop the pocket. Well done Nath!!
Love how Aino used the pocket idea & then filled them with some great advice to carry each day. Such a great idea that she had & ran with it. Very cool no photo page.
This page just has the ultimate wow factor! I am at awww of this one. Wow oh wow Anke!
I just love how mugsbigsis journaled about her pockets through the years ... very cool idea! Well done Kelly!
Have a great week everyone!

Creative Challenge #40
Another Monday has arrived and with that I bring to you another Creative Challenge. Today I was looking through all my digital products and I came across some things I forgot I had. Are you like me and have tons of digital products? Are you like me and tend to use the same stuff over and over again? This week's challenge is to take 15 to 20 minutes and look through all your digital products. You never know you might just find something you forgot you had or maybe it will spark up a layout idea. We would love to hear if you found a new old favourite product. If so leave us a comment in the comments field and link us to your layout as well. On a personal note ... I can't believe that my daughter Addison is 4 months today. She is growing up too fast! - Tara

Hello everyone! I have a 2 year old itching to see tractors stuck on You Tube so I'm going to make this quick! This weeks page to lift is by dstnd2be. I discovered this stunning page in the gallery over at designer digitals & was instantly inspired. I love the row of little photos with the bold title & the bit of stitching. Plus the soft brushwork. Delightful!

Gallery Inspiration
Here are a few layouts that have caught my eye over the last few weeks. They have definitely inspired me to scrap and I'm going to lift a few of them. I hope you find them inspiring as well. - Tara
This first layout is by Dagmar. Love the neutral feel to her layout. I like how she pulled the coral colour from her photo with the flowers. It helps move your eye around her layout.
This next layout is by Ashley. I love the pop of colour against the brown background. Her cluster of elements is perfect just like her design.
This layout is by Hollie. I love everything about this layout. It popped right out at me. Love her design and I also LOVE NYC!
This layout is by LIz. It's simply beautiful. Love the brown and how her photo takes centre stage.
This layout by Janet put a smile on my face. Love the colours and her photo.
This layout is by Kim. Love the monochromatic feel and how she used a large photo blended into the background. Simply elegant.

Creative Challenge #39
Happy Monday!!! We are all ALMOST up to feeling 100%. A few coughs here and there and still on antibiotics. Hopefully we have this all out of our system, and we can have a healthy winter! I'll let you know if that works out in my favor or not ;)
Today we have another Creative Challenge for you!!
Use song lyrics as inspiration. You can use the whole song as your journaling, or words or the title of the song for your title. How ever you feel inspired!!
Use a visual triangle to lead the eye. A visual triangle is simply using the placement of elements to lead the eye through your page. This will pull your page together and in many cases make your page more appealing.

Inspired by Jonny Diaz: Beautiful you (a wonderful song if you have never heard it)
Can't wait to see you pages and be inspired!
Don't forget to link us up!!!

Oh boy oh boy does Designer Digitals have a new treat for you to inspire you! It's a eBook called Embellishing with Alphas! In this e-ideabook, you’ll learn design principles for scrapbook page embellishment WHILE finding loads of inspiration for using alphabets as monograms on your digital projects. Writer, scrapbooker, and teacher Debbie Hodge worked with DesignerDigitals Creative Team members to create an ideabook for the scrapbooker who wants to make beautiful pages that use product in support of story and photos.

I almost didn't make it!! Tanner is finally getting better, we are just battling a cough now, and Rilyn has an ear infection. Which wouldn't be that bad, if I didn't feel yucky too. But I do, so it makes the whole house just no fun to be in. Hopefully we will all be MUCH happier tomorrow and 100% but Thursday!!
So, On to some inspiration!!

Artist: DeenaW
First, this layout just sang to me in the gallery who wouldn't click on this beautiful baby face, but once I read the journaling, I had to giggle. I had the exact same obsession, in fact, Im pretty sure, mine hasn't gone away, lol.
Artist: Aino
And another one I can relate to. And Aino's layouts are consistently in my favorites!! Love this one!
Artist: MissyBaby
This is just a great layout. I love that her family challenges eachother to lift someone. I love that all the girls in her family SCRAP together! How fun would that be!!
Artist: Denise Gormish
I love the story board of photos on this layout and a black background always stands out to me! Clean, classic and fabulous!!

Creative Challenge #38
I am back! Online that is. Our modem stopped working on Saturday so I missed all the chats :( Plus I have a ton of catching up to do in the gallery & community at DD! I did manage to back up all my files last night with my 'internet free time'. Also got a couple pages done. Good things. Maybe I should ban myself from the internet here & there to get more stuff done! Anyways here I am with a challenge for you this week.
Shrink a template! I do this all the time & love the results. Templates are so versatile & the options are endless. I am totally addicted to templates as a starting point for creativity.
Here is a recent page that I did using this great template by Katie called Beach Day Layered Template.
{Click image for full credits}
I also added a frame to include an extra photo & moved the grouping slightly over to the left. Have fun shrinking & don't forget to link us to your creation! - kayleigh

Copy Cat Wednesday #36 ( Friday?)
I know I'm late!! So sorry for keeping you hanging like that! This week has been one of the toughest weeks I've gone through in a LONG time. My biggest fear of Tanner starting school was that he's get sick, never being around so many kids. And of course it happened...times TWO. The ever dreaded H1N1 yes, the swine flu, AND strep on top of that. Today I think he has finally broke his fever so it looks like he is on the mend! Thanks for understanding!
So without further ado...our inspiration today comes from AmyL. I always love seeing her pages of her grown up boys, it actually makes me look forward to the fun I will have with my own kids in the future!

Ok here i am a couple, ok scratch that a few days late, but i really needed to have that time with my sister. I have talked to her (on facebook) & she is safely in Australia. Sleeping. Thats what almost 24 hours of travelling will do to you. Can't wait to hear about all her adventures in the weeks to come!
What is not to love about this FUN page by Brittany!? That sweet photo, the adorable new kit of Mindy's, her shrunken down template use. This page totally inspires me to scrap right now!!
This page by Myra is STUNNNG! I just love her use of colour & the whole graphic feel to the page. Can't you just envision this on a canvas? Well done Myra!
This page by Lynn is such a fun one! Love that pose & you really have to check out that great new kit of her's. Great colours & elements!
Love the tucked in journaling cards above the row of photos here, cool idea eh? Plus the bits of metal add a great manly touch. This is part of a great double pager. Fantastic page Jellsy!
Love the quote here & the reminder to us all who *may* feel a tad guilty here & there. Great page mirjam!!
Love the mix of papers here & that photo is totally adorable!! You rocked this heritage page Dawneephay!
Love the little bits of orange here against the browns. Love the stitched holes around the grouping too. And those photos are adorable!! We are discovering how fun clips are at our house with Makenna's long hair & that little bow in these photos caught my eye! Well done mungerre!
How`s this for a slice of life photo! So stinkin cute. Love the soft brushwork & colours with the black & white photo. Well done Aunti M!
ohhhh i remember that stage of when i would call spencer a baby & everyone was reminding me that he is now a toddler not a baby. This is such a cute page capturing that stage. Love the colours here too. Well done roxygirl78!
Love the sephia tones here with the great colour scheme. The boldness of the LOVES title adds to the impact of the meaning. Fantastic jennyryan21!
And today is September 11th, hard to believe it has been 8 years already seems like just yesterday. Look at this photo & take a moment to take it in. I think we are all able to remember what we were doing when this tragedy happened. I was just starting college at that time. I remember that every tv around school was broadcasting the news. Great page to remember LauraBean.
Have a good weekend all!
