DD Get Together

Tara, Heidi, Melissa & I were able to get together a couple weeks back for some dinner+shopping on a friday evening. We had lots to chat about and had a blast. We took some photos outside the restaurant and we all scrapped them. I thought i would post them all here together to see all the differences and similarities! And well I know we all want to see them all together too!

Copy Cat Challenge #60

Good Morning! I'm so HAPPY it's FRIDAY! : ) It's been a loooonnnggg week. Today I bring you another Copy Cat Challenge. Today's layout is by Larissa. I love her design and the use of pattern paper and the cute little screws. Thanks Larissa for the inspiration. I scrapped my page with a photo of us Girls. A couple of weeks ago I got together with some DD Girls and we had a nice supper. In the photo is me, Mel, Kayleigh & Heidi. I hope this inspires you as well. It has ARRIVED!

I'm so excited, and it turned out better than I thought it would. I just received my first Blurb Book in the mail today. I love the quality and the price was right. I made a book of all my Photo A Day pictures I took at the start of the year. I'm so sad that I didn't keep up with the project. After I got pregnant it was down hill from there. I will be starting back up the first of January and can't wait. I told my Husband he is going to have to help me out. If you haven't tried a Blurb Book, I think you should. I'm very happy with the results :) Here are some photos. My book is an 8 x 10 Hard Cover Image Wrap. Some pages have one photo up to three photos. - Tara

Here are some fun pages i found that i just love!

I am a huge fan of adding clocks into my pages and this page by digigal is so cool. I love how she showcased the clocks & the colours here are outstanding!


I love the brackets here with the bit of brushwork and perfectly placed paper/elements. Such a great family photo too! Awesome page Denise Gormish!


I am a huge fan of this scrappers layering with fun products and photos and this page is outstanding! Those photos are adorable & the titlework rocks! Love this Amy!


This photo just cracks me up - reminds me of my own battles with a couple toddlers in my household! Awesome page Faefester!

Random Stuff

OK this post is going to be filled with a whole lot of random stuff ... but it is all stuff that i happen to think is pretty cool at the moment.

This is the last page that entered my fave folder over in the Designer Digitals Gallery. It is a beautiful page showcasing an adorable nursery for her soon to arrive little guy. How cool is that alpha going around the room? Awesome page Lisa!


I don't even remember how i came across this posting as i get sidetracked from blog to blog of people i have no idea who they are but are so intrigued by their fantastic ideas and before you know it i have been surfing around for an hour! I am really into fall this year & would like to do a bit of fall decorating around the house. This idea is over the top amazing!



I have signed up for a class over at Big Picture Scrapbooking that Cathy Zielske is running called Me: The Abridged Version. I am really excited about focusing on telling some stories about me right now as the mom of two toddlers, a hubby who is just starting college, starting adventures of my own, scrapbooker, boo boo kisser, recent pilates quitter, spends a lot of time on the computer, pajama wearing all day kind of a woman. Because these stories will be important to my kids, my husband & me in the years to come. And next year there will more stories to tell that are different from now.



So my friends, class just started today. There is still time to sign up, September 22 to be exact so join in! Tell your story!

The other night my hubby & I were watching The Opener on the food network & realized the restaurant that they were showing is about an hour and 1/2 away from us. It is called Twisted Lemon This could make a really fun date night just driving out there for dinner. We use to drive all over the place {pre-kid stage in life} and this could be a really fun adventure. We just need to plan this at least 2 weeks in advance as they are super busy!



Anyways ... thats all i got for now, this only took about 45 minutes to do. I am off to scrap! :) - kayleigh

Magazine Inspiration No.1

Hi everyone, How is everyone doing today? Can't say I've had the best of days, but I'm glad to say it's over. I can't wait to veg on the coach and watch the Big Brother finale. Today I bring you an all new inspiration. This new inspiration will come from magazines. It can come from a advertisement, cover or inside layout. This week I've chosen an ad. This ad was in the Canadian Style At Home-Small Spaces April 2010. Here is my layout below. I love the graphic feel and the use of small & large square boxes. Just thought i would share my latest page that i created of my sweet baby girl.

Believe it or not this started out as a double pager ... and then got squashed together. then i was almost done & the dreadful message came up that my laptop needed to shutdown ... AS i was in the process of saving my completed page. Of course it didn't save and i had to re-do the majority of the page. My lesson to you in case you forgot, save often!! And i am quickly uploading this to just call it done!
