A Photo A Day: Part 2

Okay, so we are now into the fourth week of January and I promised myself I would take a photo a day. I can't believe how hard it is. I'm glad I didn't promise myself to actually complete a scrapbooked Shutterfly book : ) I don't think it would've got it done. I was doing so well until life got busy. As you know we just got our new house and you would think I'd take a ton of photos, well it hasn't been the case. I hardly find the time to pick up my camera. Well I can say I haven't failed yet, but some of the photos are not as good as I would like them to be. (not very artistic, example, microwave photo) I promise to make a better effort next week. Here are a few pictures from my photo a day. Please let me know how you are doing in the comments field. I would love to know your thoughts on how yours is going. Have a great week. - Tara

I did the photo a day thing last year, and by the end of the year I was definitely over it! Although now that my book is finished, I kinda want to do it for the rest of my life...just because I'm so happy to have these memories documented. My photos could use a lot of improvement, but mostly I was just glad to get it done for the day! If you're interested, you can check it out here: http://rjsheedy.blogspot.com/2010/01/project-365.html

Your black and white conversions are gorgeous! I've been having fun with a photo a day this month but I've been on holidays and it is Summer. I imagine it is harder in Winter. I like the microwave shot. I wish I'd had a digital camera 18 years ago and could have taken a photo a day of my eldest daughter. They change so quickly. You could photograph where she sleeps, her favorite toys, books, place to sit, food, etc. These are things I don't have. And maybe some of them might not make for the most artistic photo but gosh they would be special to have!

Beautiful photos Tara! I LOVE POTD! I'm in my third year, but honestly can't imagine balancing it and a little one! @ 4 years old he is a bit more self sufficient! Keep at it, if you can, you will have A TREASURE when you are done. I wish I could go back to Ian's two years for a do over!

You are doing great Tara! And beautiful B&W conversions! I found some days/weeks were harder than others, but I'm glad I did it. If you miss a day don't sweat it. Think of it this way... if you miss a day here or there and "only" have 200 potd's at the end of the year... well, you still have 200 photos that capture your life!
