Creative Challenge #3 Layouts

I can't believe it's Sunday already. I hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend. The weather here in Ontario, Canada has been amazing. Probably one of the best weekends we have had this summer. I must say I'm sad about how fast summer has gone, but there are some things I look forward to in the fall. One, football season starts next week and two, some of my t.v. shows premiere this week. So fall ain't that bad :) Thanks To everyone who participated. Kayleigh and I loved seeing your favorite rooms and things. This week we have picked Heidi a.k.a Heidi2008's layout. We loved how she labelled each photo, it added more detail into her favorite space. Don't forget to check back tomorrow for another fun challenge. Enjoy the rest of the weekend - Tara

Copy Cat Wednesday #2

I'm sure you are all in the same boat as me, you have a ton of amazing layouts in your favorites folder that you say your going to lift but never do. I love that I have Copy Cat Wednesday to actually get to some of those awesome layouts. This week I'm doing one of Dagmar a.k.a lenasmommy. I have quite a few of her layouts in my folder and this week I picked this one for it's simple but elegant design. I thought it would work perfecting with this photo. I hope I've inspired you to lift it as well or to pick one from your favorites folder. Enjoy your Wednesday. - Tara

My Creative Challenge #2 Layout

It's Friday and thank goodness, it's been a long week. I'm looking forward to relaxing this weekend and doing some scrapping. As you already know Kayleigh has been really really busy this week with going back to work and working on her secret project. So this week I have done the layout for the challenge. Here is my single page layout using at least 3 buttons, some kind of ribbon, journaling inside a circle or around, something faded and stitching of some kind. Can't wait to see all your pages! Don't forget to check back on Monday when we post another fun challenge. - Tara

Where's Kayleigh?

Just wanted to pop in & say that I have been REALLY really busy this past week with going back to work. Eric is still home with Spencer since he is not able to work right now due to his recent surgery from the car accident last year. So it does make it easier knowing that Spence is with him rather than a sitter. The 1st day was really hard, but each day is getting easier. When I get home I don't want to spend time on the computer until Spence is in bed, so my scrapping time has gone from 6-8 hours a day to about 2!

I am also working on a secret project that is taking up a lot of time - but it is going to be fantastic! ... Sorry no hints :) Plus there is my latest news to celebrate with the MMM Runner-Up. I feel so honoured to have been recognized among these talented scrappers. And thanks to Mary for letting me know about the contest to begin with. I entered the contest on a whim & got my 5 pages ready in about a week & 1/2. I pushed the reveal of the winners out of my mind with all the craziness of being back at work this week. So how excited was I when i saw the thread at DD that Mary started?! My co-workers were excited, but they don't really understand how very exciting this truely is in the scrapping world.

Tara has been doing a fantastic job with the blog & her inspiring pages. (So thanks my friend!) Come mid September I will be able to dive into our blog full forced! We have lots of fantastic inspiration in store for you all so stay tuned & check back often!

Congratulations!

Congrats to our very own Kayleigh, who was chosen to be a runner-up for the Memory Makers Masters. Check it out here.
Very well deserved! :) - Tara

Copy Cat Wednesday

When everything is up and running, every Wednesday will be Copy Cat Wednesday. One week I'll do it and then the next week Kayleigh will do it. We will find a layout that we love and copy it. So this week I fell in love with this layout by Liz of Paislee Press. Love the series of photos and the brush work and the faded words in the background. Here is what I came up with. I hope it inspires you! - Tara

New York Shutterfly Book

I wanted to post a copy of my completed New York book, It's my fourth Shutterfly book, but my first completed theme book. I love the way it flows page by page. I like the idea of a book with one theme that carries the same elements throughout. It's a lot of work, but well worth it in the end. I wait patiently for my copy to arrive in the mail. To check out other books for inspiration go to www.shutterfly.com - Tara

Welcome to our blog!

Tara & I are really excited about this adventure of our blog & we hope you are too! We plan on having lots of exciting things to share with you from the digital world of scrapbooking. Some of our exciting things are challenges, lots of inspiration, a monthly sketch to inspire you, or whatever else we find that we think might inspire you a bit.

Tara & I met through www.designerdigitals.com about 9 months ago. We actually live really close to eachother here in Ontario, Canada but haven't met YET in real life - one day! But I feel like I really know her & am glad we met.

So drop in often as we hope to have this blog thing figured out ASAP! - Kayleigh
